Activities

The main purpose of FNN is the development of technical codes for the interoperability and coordination of system operations in order to maintain the reliability of the power system and to use the existing resources efficiently. These codes are complemented by guidelines and recommendations.

FNN actively coordinates the interfaces with economic questions, legal and regulatory topics. The interfaces with other infrastructures (e.g. the gas network) and other standardisation bodies (DKE,DIN) are also closely monitored.

Further fields of activity are the management of safety (Technisches Sicherheitsmanagement) and advanced training as well as the transfer of know-how and communication.
