International Cooperation

INTEC Initiative of the DKE

Parallel to international standardization work in IEC and at the European level in CENELEC the DKE further expands its bilateral relations with international partners. The focus is on the BRIC countries:

Brazil,

Russia,

India and

China.

Korea

is another cooperating country with which the DKE also maintains good bilateral relations. In all these countries, the DKE has signed a MoU or is currently negotiating with the national standards organizations or interest groups in the field of electrical engineering.

 The DKE has launched the INTEC Initiative in order to

  • strengthen and support the international standardization system;
  • strengthen bilateral cooperation with the cooperating countries;
  • enhance integration of target countries in concrete cooperation projects at the technical level;
  • put the activities resulting from MoUs and from talks at political level into concrete terms

The responsible department for the INTEC Initiative of the DKE is “International Cooperation” (INT).

Projects and measures initiated within the framework of the INTEC Initiative are carried out by involving the technical expertise in the DKE bodies and by taking advantage of contacts which have already been established by the DKE bodies. Concrete project proposals can be submitted to INTEC via the technical secretariats with the technical work taking place in the technical secretariats. However, it is also possible for INTEC to propose technical projects to the technical secretariats in coordination with the cooperating partners.
