Directive 2011/65/EC “Restriction of Hazardous Substances” (RoHS)
New electrical and electronic equipment put on the market may not contain Cadmium (Cd) >100 ppm, Chromium VI (Cr 6+) >1000 ppm, Lead (Pb) >1000 ppm, Mercury (Hg) >1000 ppm as well as PBB/PBDE >1000 ppm on the homogenous material level.
The RoHS requirements will become relevant for the CE marking.

- Testing regarding RoHS substances of concern according to the IEC 62321 test standard. The Laboratory is accredited according to that standard.
- Testing of products and processes in supply chain
There are three levels of assessment:
Level 1: Document evaluation
- Verification of the documents regarding RoHS conformity in the supply chain (e. g. supplier declarations, quality assurance measures, test results and terms and conditions)
- Including summary report
Level 2: Production testing
- Testing of the actual physical samples such as components and products including a RoHS test report
Level 3: Product testing and on-site surveillance audit
- Testing of the actual physical samples such as components and products including a RoHS conformity certificate and a yearly conformity surveillance audit
- Under Level 3 you will get the RoHS conformity mark, which you can use on your product.
