Dr.-Ing. Walter Daumann is the new Chief Technology Officer and member of the Board of Managing Directors of the VDE Institute in Offenbach.
Chairman of the Board of Managing Directors is Dipl.Ing. Dipl.-Kfm. Wilfried Jäger.
Before joining VDE Institute, Dr. Daumann (44) was responsible for operations at Nokia Siemens Network Services in Düsseldorf. After his apprenticeship as an electronics installer at the former Bergbau AG Niederrhein, Walter Daumann studied electrical engineering and communication technology at the University Duisburg-Essen. In 1998 he took a masters degree and earned a doctorate in semi-conductor technology and changed to the Fraunhofer Institute for Microelectronic Circuits and Systems in Duisburg. Besides Nokia Siemens Networks, other stops of Dr. Daumann’s career were at NEC Electronics Europe and Ascom in Switzerland.
