Electronic components in the automotive industry have to work faultlessly, an important requirement, if it concerns the safety of the vehicle. Battery and control management as well as the used cables and cords have to ensure the safety of the vehicle, of course. In environmental simulation processes the automotive components will be put to the test. In addition the general behaviour of the vehicle concerning its electromagnetic compatibility is determined. In combination with the substantial testing possibilities, even during the development phase, the VDE Institute offers its competency for tests according to the Automotive Directive and according to manufacturer specifications.
